What style of house is for me/us?
The style of your new home is a function of having looked at many different homes and saying "Yes" or "No". That's what gets you to a point of saying "We'd like a colonial" or we'd never go for a split level. There is something about the style that says who you are and that is important in what homes you choose to go through.
Some people think this is not important as price or quality of construction. But this is never really the case. We identify with the four walls which surround us and they must be done up in a way that makes us proud.
The only time that this is really crucial is when your favorite style is not currently for sale in your prferred area. When this happens a good realtor will help you to explore comparable communities or suggest attempting to obtain a one time listing agreement on your ideal house.
